About Roland Coatings
Over 40 years ago, Hank “Roland” Johnson had a dream to combine his passion for chemical engineering with business management. After graduating from college and serving in the military, Hank started his professional career with a brief stint at the International Business Machine Company (now known as IBM). He soon left IBM behind to pursue a career selling inks and coatings for the growing packaging and consumables market under Merit Ink & Coating, with bi-coastal facilities in Los Angeles and Atlanta.
